It's not often that residents learn that a serious accident occurred at a gas station. A bizarre incident happened on a Monday night involving several vehicles. The car crash occurred when a vehicle exited a Connecticut highway and ran through a gas station parking lot. Four people were ultimately injured in the collision, including the driver who originally lost control.
According to reports, a driver was exiting the interstate when, all of a sudden, the motorist lost control. The vehicle slammed into a gas station and approximately six other cars. The incident left four people suffering from unspecified injuries. Rescue crews arrived at the scene and transported the injured victims to the hospital. One of the injured was trapped inside of her vehicle, but it's not known if that person was the driver who had lost control.
At last report, all of the injured are expected to survive. Authorities are still working to determine what caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle in the first place. It is not known if alcohol or drugs played a factor in this case. It is also not known if the driver is expected to be charged.
As the investigation continues, several people are recovering from injuries sustained in the car crash. The driver who lost control may have other legal woes aside from possible traffic-related charges. Victims may wish to pursue personal injury claims in a Connecticut civil courtroom against the driver for accident-related injuries. Successfully litigated claims may offer monetary compensation as the victims recover. A reputable injury attorney can help to review your options.
