Two Children Killed in Fatal Bristol Car Crash

A tragic car accident occurred last night when two children, ages four and seven, were killed in a head-on collision in Bristol, Conn. The accident occurred in the area of Pinebrook Terrace on Middle Street at 12:30 a.m. Four adults were also treated for injuries.
The accident occurred when a 2014 Nissan Sentra struck a 2002 Ford Windstar. Initial reports state that the Sentra, which was carrying the two children along with two adults, had crossed over the yellow lines.
Police are still investigating the auto accident. Four adults, including the two parents of the deceased children, were treated for injuries at hospitals in Hartford and Waterbury.
There may have been a third passenger in the Ford who fled the scene of the accident. Police are still looking for him. Anyone with information about the crash should contact the Traffic Division at (860) 584-3033.
Any loss of life is tragic, but when children this young are killed, it can be devastating to an entire community. If it is determined that a driver was at fault, the driver may be facing criminal charges.
The families of the children may also pursue wrongful death claims against the responsible driver for financial restitution.
