D'Amico & Pettinicchi is proud to announce their role as sponsors in the 5th annual Shamrock Shuffle on March 12, 2016 in Oakville, CT.
Presented by the Watertown Parks and Recreation Department and Ordinary Joe’s Running Club, the 3.5 mile race will benefit the Gold Circle of Sports Scholarship and Outrun 38, a non-profit organization that helps adults living with Cystic Fibrosis.
Each year, the road race generates proceeds to help local non-profit organizations, including St. Baldrick’s, The Denise Brown Family, Sandy Hook and Angels for Angela. In the past five years, the event has raised nearly $35,000 for local foundations. Last year, more than $11,000 was raised to benefit the Guy Buzzannco Memorial and Water-Oak Gold Circle of Sports Scholarship.
Last year, record-breaking attendance was announced and the Parks and Recreation Department is hoping for a record-number of race participants again this year.
Along with competing in a fun event with a great cause, race participants will be able to enjoy food and beverages at Ordinary Joe’s after the race. Prizes for best costume will also be handed out after the race.
Those who wish to sign up can still register on the day of the race beginning at 8:00 a.m. at Polk School; the price is $30 and the race kicks off at 10 a.m.
The personal injury lawyers at D'Amico & Pettinicchi are committed to giving back to the community and look forward to the 5th anniversary of the Shamrock Shuffle. We encourage everyone to participate or make a donation online to Outrun 38 and/or the Gold Circle of Sports Scholarship.
