In a recent interview on the RT America TV program "America's Lawyer," host Mike Papantonio and consumer advocate Ralph Nader discuss corporate attempts at tort reform.
They argue that tort reform would take away the constitutional rights of Americans to sue when they suffer injuries or lose loved ones because of medical malpractice, defective products or dangerous drugs.
Nader pointed out that lawsuits help to disclose information about harmful products. This can lead to products being recalled, protecting other Americans from harm.
Papantonio is an attorney and past president of The National Trial Lawyers. Nader is an attorney, long-time consumer advocate and former third-party presidential candidate.
The personal injury attorneys at D'Amico & Pettinicchi are staunch supporters of the rights of individuals to pursue justice through the legal system when they suffer injuries due to negligence.
